Curriculum

Mission

To encourage and edify the Church by providing support to Christian organizations as they re-evaluate their worship culture to better reflect God and His Word.

Vision

To see modern worship culture prioritize Biblical literacy and submission to the Holy Spirit.

My Why

In the past century, the Church has become influenced by two particularly dangerous movements, Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). What is not well-known is that these movements are rooted in New Thought and New Age teachings, as well as the Latter Rain Movement, all of which are diametrically opposed to the Christian faith. There is nothing new under the sun, so these movements are a new way Satan has deceived millions into believing in a false god that will grant them health, wealth, and prosperity like a genie in a bottle, and will make man immortal in order to take dominion over the earth to make way for Jesus’ return.

These teachings are so influential that they have even made it to the White House, particularly through the Seven Mountain Mandate. This “mandate” states that in order for Jesus to return, Christians must conquer the seven mountains of society: Family, religion, education, media, arts + entertainment, business, government. NAR leaders like Paula White, Jentezen Franklin, and Franklin Graham have positioned themselves near the 47th President as a way to influence his decisions and fit him into this dominionist and Biblically-void vision. Paula White is a known heretic, but was named the White House Faith Office’s Senior Advisor in 2025.

Movements like these arise due to Biblical illiteracy of churchgoers and pastors alike. Our greatest defense against false teachings is the Truth of God’s Word. According to a 2019 Barna Study, 52% of Americans engage with the Bible at some level, but only 5% of Americans “interact with the Bible frequently” and “is transforming their relationships and shaping their choices.”

This business is named “Spirit and Truth” because I want to be constantly reminded of the powerful words of Jesus to balance Spirit and Truth. Often times, modern worship culture can lean in one way or the other—devoid of Biblical truth, or devoid of connection with the Holy Spirit. I strive to strike a balance between the two in everything I do, because everything I do is for His glory.

This curriculum will train you and your team to:

1. Accurately identify false teachings of the Word of Faith and New Apostolic Reformation movements

2. Identify the theology of the “Big Four” of the worship world + 2 additional (Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, Passion, UPPERROOM, and Maverick City)

3. Effectively test worship music and study resources going forward, both by their theology and their sources

4. Foster a healthy worship culture by evaluating motivations, habits, and relationships

In addition, I can spend time with your worship department to discuss changing your song lists and/or beginning to write and produce your own music.
